Scope and Content

This collection consists of a scrapbook of photographs, postcards, stamps and correspondence compiled by Madame Peggy Solis, partly relating to her nursing training.

The scrapbook includes copies of photographs taken during Peggy's time as a child patient at Dulwich Hospital, London in 1931-32; photographs of a later stay in Dulwich Hospital [suffering from tuberculosis, aged 18?]; photographs from her period of nursing training at Harefield Hospital; photographs of her wedding in 1974; various postcards of Paris and Les Clayes Sous-Bois, France; an extract of her marriage to Manuel Solis, and correspondence from 1985 concerning the eligibility of Madame Solis and her fellow nursing students for inclusion in the GNC Register of Nurses for England and Wales. Several postcards are by Guy, several by Yvon, and one by Iris.
