The papers of Judith M. Fitton primarily relating to her training and career. The collection includes a few documents from her nurse training. The majority of papers relate to Fitton's work to develop a system of rural health nursing in Sabah, Malaysia, 1962-1971 and her nursing work in Brunei, 1957-1962.
The collection contains papers generated by Fitton's work as lead tutor on the Health Visitor course at the University of Leeds from 1975-1989 and copies of articles written by her. There is a small a file relating to her post as lecturer at Durham Technical College and also some personal papers.
There are also slides of scenes in Malaysia, Tunisia and Samarkand and films of girl guides and events in Malaysia and Brunei.
