Scope and Content

Following initial blank, ff.2r-136v: prose accounts in a single hand of Edward VI, John of Gaunt, Sir Edward Poynings and Richard, Earl of Cornwall, of tournaments and of "the vast power formerly enjoyed by our English nobility", with the "Argument" evidently of a play about Altimont, Prince of Syracuse, possibly unfinished, on ff.109v-110v; ff.137v-142v: four poems in two new hands, the first (ff.137v-138v) headed "Verses wrote by my deare Harry" and the last (ff.141v-142v) entited "Versery on the death of deare Hary wrot by Mr William Bunberry"; ff.143r-146v: blank; ff.147r-165v: "Miscellaneous poems, translations &cc ", being thirteen poems in the volume's first hand, the last incomplete and followed by stubs of at least three missing leaves before f.166r; ff.166r-168r: poem in new hand ending in part leaf mostly cut away; ff.169-174: blank; f.175r-v: "A table shewing the degree of rarity of medalls"; remaining leaves blank, except for note on medication on f.179v.
