In consideration of an undisclosed sum, Christopher Louther of Haukesdale [Hawkesdale], Cumberland, gent, quitclaims to William Barantyne esq, William Jeffray and Robert Peele clerks, to Christopher Kendale, and to their heirs, all his right of and in the manors of Well, Garyngton and Lokyndale, Kent, and in land in Garyngton, in the parishes of Welle and Litilbourne, to the use of Robert Rede, justice of king's bench. Warranty clause. Deed poll. Pendant tagged red seal with 'wheatsheaf' device. Endorsed with contemporary identification, and record of enrolment in king's bench. Further endorsed in seventeenth-century hand: 'These concerne Well, Garrington et Luckendale'. With information on parties supplied by Colonel Moss.
