Administrative / Biographical History

The Friendly Society of Operative Stonemasons of England, Ireland and Wales was established in 1833. In 1921 it amalgamated with Manchester Unity of Bricklayers and the London Order of Bricklayers to form the Amalgamated Union of Building Trade Workers.
