5 samples of gauze-weave, woven at Ethel Mairet's workshop by Dorothy Ablett in 1952. Mounted in a file with notes and diagrams.

Administrative / Biographical History

Dorothy Ablett studied weaving on a technical course in the Textile Department, University of Nottingham, in 1942. She was a student at Ethel Mairet's workshop, 'Gospels' at Ditchling, 1950-1952.

Arrangement

The material has been kept in the original folder in which it was deposited at the CSC, but interleaved with acid-free tissue.
