Scope and Content

Grant by the Masters, Fellows, and Scholars of St. John's College, Cambridge, to William Peck of Histon, administrator of William Peck of Waterbeach, Cambs., of permission to alienate certain lands in Histon and Impington, demised by the College to William Peck by indenture of the same date for a term of years. For the first seventeen years of the term he may alienate the lands to any approved by the College, but he may not alienate for the whole term without a special grant. The college shall not take advantage by forfeiture upon alienation. Any to whom the lands are alienated shall not further alienate them without licence from the College. William Peck is to perform all covenants and agreements notwithstanding licence of alienation.
