Scope and Content

Music owned by the Morris family, comprising:

  • second clarinet part of band music, marches, dances etc., early 19th century
  • songs and catches for one, two and three voices, sometimes with accompaniment, c. 1800. Fols. 30v-36 contain later additions of songs with piano accompaniment.

Administrative / Biographical History

William Richard Morris (1877-1963), Viscount Nuffield, was an industrialist and philanthropist.
