Collection of books, mainly on Scottish industrial history and archaeology. Also includes some literature, notably by Sir Walter Scott and Allan Ramsay.

Administrative / Biographical History

James Percival Agnew was the Chairman of the Scottish College of Commerce at the time of the merger with the Royal College of Science and Technology to form the University of Strathclyde in 1964. Agnew was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Strathclyde on 20th September 1966.

The collection was gifted by Dr J. Percival Agnew.

Note
