Papers of William Shand (1765 - 1845) of Yonder Bognie, Forgue, Huntly, 1789 - 1841. The collection comprises correspondence and agreements between William Shand, tenant in Yonder Bognie, and his landlords, Alexander Morison and Theodore Morison, regarding the tenancy and enclosure of Yonder Bognie, 1789 - 1821, including details of pre-enclosure agricultural practice; papers re. the winding up of the estate of William Shand's father, William Shand (1730 - 1799), 1803 - 1804; inventory and roup of the effects of William Shand's sister, Margaret Shand, 1837; will and roup of the effects of Alexander Anderson, tenant in Soutertown, 1823 - 1824; papers relating to the Mill of Forgue, 1814 - 1831; miscellaneous correspondence and receipts relating to William Shand's role as Kirk treasurer, 1828 - 1841, including letters relating to fund-raising for missions in India and parish poor relief; fragment of pass book of Forgue Savings Bank, 1828
