The records described below appear to relate to Nathaniel BACON (1547? - 1622) of Stiffkey, Norfolk, the second son of Sir Nicholas Bacon (1509 - 1579), Lord Keeper. He was admitted to Gray's Inn 1562 December 15; M.P. for Tavistock 1571 and 1572, for Norfolk 1584 and 1593, for Lynn 1597; Sheriff of Norfolk 1599; Knighted 1604 July 21. He died 1622 November 7 at the age of 75 and was buried in Stiffkey churchyard
