Administrative / Biographical History

Elwyn Evans was Deputy Director, then Director of Programmes for the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, 1956-1959, having previously worked [for the BBC?] as Senior Features Producer in the Welsh Region and served 'in Muslim countries' during World War Two.

The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation was set up by the BBC in c1951 in order to implement, on behalf of the federal authorities, a nationwide system of radio broadcasting.
