The Jenkins family owned property in around Merlin's Bridge, Pembrokeshire, as well as Northumberland Farm, Wiston, Pembrokeshire. S. Jenkins and Sons were general smiths, engineers and hauling and threshing machine makers. The family also owned Millbrook Granite Quarry, at Treffgarne, Pembrokeshire, and the Merlin's Bridge Sanitary Steam Laundry Co. Ltd. Stephen Jenkins (fl. 1867-1920) was a blacksmith in Merlin's Bridge. He married Mary John in 1867. John Henry Jenkins (fl. 1932-1940) and William Alfred Jenkins of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire (fl. 1940), were agricultural engineers. Arthur Edgar Jenkins (fl. 1933-1940) was also an engineer, and Albert Edward George Jenkins (b. 1887) was the manager of Merlin's Bridge Sanitary Steam Laundry Co. Ltd; he married Miriam. William Henry Jenkins (fl. 1940) was an engineer in Treffgarne, Pembrokeshire.
