In pursuance of a decree dated 18 Nov 1754 in a cause heard in Chancery between Andrew Pern the elder and Andrew Pern the younger, infants (represented by Andrew Pern clerk their next friend), Judith Pern spinster, and Ann Ferrill spinster, plaintiffs, and John Pern, clerk, and William Greaves Beaupre Bell, defendants, S Burroughs (a master in chancery) declares that he has taken steps to sell one of the houses in question, a tenement with barn and yard in Newnham, has placed an advertisement in the London Gazette setting the present day for the sale, and that the best offer he has received is one of #31 made by David King, the present tenant, who currently pays an annual rent of #4. 3 pages, duty stamps. Endorsed: '4s 4d' / Pern & Pern / Master Burrough's Report / of David King's being the / best Purchasor / Neale Castleyard / Moved by Mr Capper, last day of / Term, for Order Nisi' (this last sentence cancelled).
