Administrative / Biographical History

Harold Josiah Finch was born in 1898. He was a trade union official and Labour MP for the Bedwellty division of Monmouthshire from 1950 until his retirement in 1970. He was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Welsh Office 1964-1966 and Opposition spokesman on Fuel and Power 1959-1960. Harold Finch was knighted in 1976.
