Administrative / Biographical History
A. B. Lee (b. 1893 in Jarrow), Third Officer, MN (Merchant Navy) and Lieutenant, RNR (Royal Naval Reserve), served on SS Orange Branch, HMS Blackfly, HMS Moth and HMS Venture at Gallipoli, in Mesopotamia and with the Caspian Naval Force supporting the Dunsterforce. He met Stalin, who was then the Commander of the 7th Moscow Regiment. Later, as Captain, he was awarded the DSC and was demobilized on 30 October 1919.
