Scope and Content

Peter de Culok' confirms his gift to 'my lord' John de Verdun of seven acres of land in the fields of Culak' [Coolock, Dublin?], six acres of which Peter held from William de Lasty, the other of Lord Amaric de Nugent. To be held by John, his heirs and assigns of Peter and his heirs. Reserving annual quit-rent of a pair of white gloves to the value of one halfpenny for all services. In exchange, John has given Peter seven other acres in the same fields. Witnessed by Master Richard de Wodeton', Walter Folyath, Henry de Duddel' and Thomas Archer, Master William Comin, Almaric de ?Howthe, Thomas de Campana, Elya de Flamested, John de Kynesak', William de Rowell clerk, and others. Pendant tagged green oval seal with fleur-de-lys device and legend: 'PETRIFILALANI'. Endorsed in slightly later hand: 'Carta Petri de Coulok'.
