Sir Marmaduke Nevill Patrick Somerville Coghill (1896-1981) Baronet
Born 18 March 1896. Educated Haileybury. Joined Royal Artillery in 1915 and served in France until the armistice and afterwards in Turkey and Iraq. Succeeded father, 1921. Commanded 86th (Hertfordshire Yeomanry), Fd Regt RA TA, 1939-1941 and served in the Middle East, 1941-1945. Col., Arab Legion, Jordan, 1952-1956. Died 6 January 1981.
