Administrative / Biographical History

Mrs. Bousfield was wife of Henry Brougham Bousfield, first Bishop of Pretoria. Henry Bousfield (1832-1902) graduated M.A. at Caius College, Cambridge, held the living at Foxcott, near Andover, and the position of Rural Dean, 1872-1878. In 1878 he sailed to Cape Colony, where he established the Anglican See of Pretoria.
