Mary Walker of Colchester, Essex, lets to George Cousens of Washbrook, Suffolk, certain premises in Capel and East Bergholt, timber excepted, for a term of seven years; the lessee may not let without written licence from the lessor; he may not carry away dung, nor cut timber, he must keep the pump in order, he is to discharge rates and taxes, he is to plant a certain number of trees yearly, he is to plough no more land than is ploughed at present, to prepare straw for thatching, preserve groves and woods, renew hedging, and gather quit-rents. Witnesses: Nathaniel Lawrence, Robert Wright. One seal is attached.
