The Isabel Simpson collection includes correspondence, photographs and drafts of lectures on the subject of lacis.

Administrative / Biographical History

Isabel Anne Simpson was the author of Lacis (1909) and wrote under the pseudonym 'Carita'. She lived in London and made use of the British Museum and South Kensington Museum for her research. Much of her research also took place in Edinburgh, in the Royal Scottish Museum, the Museum of Antiquities, and the General Register House Edinburgh.
