Records of Monmouthshire Insurance Committee, 1931-1949, including salaries book and cash book; Newport Insurance Committee ledger, 1934-1948; Monmouthshire Local Medical War Committee correspondence and vouchers, 1942-1946.

Monmouthshire and Newport Insurance Committees were established after the National Insurance Act 1911. They used revenue from those in employment to fund medical services, provided by a Panel Committee. They were replaced by Executive Councils in 1948.

Arranged into the following: Monmouthshire Insurance Committee; Newport Insurance Committee; Monmouthshire Local Medical War Committee.
