Administrative / Biographical History
H.G. Penwarden, a Trooper, Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry (Cornish Squadron), and 2nd Lieutenant, No. 142 Squadron, RFC (Royal Flying Corps) and RAF (Royal Air Force), served at Gallipoli and in Egypt/Palestine. He was held POW (Prisoner of War) in Turkey from 17 July 1918. Later he became a Squadron Leader.
