Six school exercises, four of them in the form of letters addressed to members of her family on the following subjects: (1) Discovery of America; (3) Mount Carmel; (5) On the invention of the art of printing; (6) The fig tree. Items (2) and (4) are headed Christian Meditation and Fragments

Fanny Oates of Leeds was a member of the same family as the mother of Captain Oates who took part in Scott's expedition to the South Pole
