Alexander Henderson of Nether Carnbee, Fife, Baptist Missionary: autograph copy of A Grammar of the Moskito Language.

Later published in New York, with the preface to the published edition [ff.I-III]. Belize, Honduras, 17 March 1846.

An Alexander Henderson from Nether Carnbee studied at the United College of St Andrews University from 1785 to 1789, and then spent a further 4 years studying divinity at St Mary's College. This may be the same man who became a Baptist missionary in Belize.
