Scope and Content

Thomas Battey, labourer, of Haslingfield, acknowledges that he his bound to Christopher Hall, wheelwright, of same, for £50. The condition being that if he fulfils the agreement in an indenture of feoffment and exchange of same date as this, then the present obligation to be void. Signed by Thomas Battey, with seal. Witnessed by Thomas Holder and Thomas Thompson.
