Scope and Content

Album containing photographs of Entebbe and Kampala, colleagues and friends, travels around the country, and of the people of Uganda, including celebrations for the return of Mutesa II, Kabaka of Buganda.

Administrative / Biographical History

Dulcie Barron travelled to Uganda to work as a secretary in the Mental Hospital Division of its health services in August 1955. She appears in a group photograph of the administrative staff of the Mulago Hospital, Kampala, dated July 1956 (Y3045W/128). Her name does not appear in the Uganda staff list for 1 July 1957, so it appears that her employment was of short term.
