Two unpublished manuscript memoirs by Michael Audland.
'A Stroll Through Arakan', details Micheal Audland's experiences as a Regular Army Gunner Officer with the 2nd Gold Coast Light Battery of the 82nd West African Division during the Second World War. The memoir relates Audland's life in the pre-war period and his wartime and immediate post-war experiences in India, Burma and the Gold Coast, which particular reference to the 1944-1945 Arakan campaign in Burma.
'The Suez Operation in 1956 and Michael Audland's Small Part in It', consists of the diary entries of Major Michael Audland for the period August 6th 1958 to January 7th 1957. Major Audland was during this time a General Staff Officer Grade 2 (GS02) in HQ 2 Corps, which had been hastily organised to plan and execute the operation to regain control of the Suez Canal.
