Trinity Term 1682. Francis More and Sir Alexander Pitfeild sought against Ludovic Newnham the manor of Wardeboys. Ludovic Newnham called to warrant Mansell Leman, who called to warrant John Wheeler. Leave to impart being granted, John Wheeler defaulted. Francis More and Sir Alexander recovered. Endorsed: 'Robinson'. A statement is appended that on the day that the complainants came to court Sir Robert Swayne claimed to be seised of the manor.
