Letter from Norman Ault, 255 Cowley Road, Oxford, to 'Needham', 19 Dec. 1934; thanks him for the 'Miscellany No. 2' and congratulates him on it; comments on Professors appropriating the results of other people's research without acknowledgement; mentions especially the editors of the new 'Oxford Book of 17th Century Verse' who have 'trodden in my footsteps so closely as to gall my kibes'; encloses offprint of his investigations into Pope's unknown early verse, to be published in full as 'Pope's Own Miscellany'; enquires as to whether Welbeck has a copy of the original miscellany, 'Poems on Several Occasions', published 1717.
