This collection consists of material accumulated by Reverend Jones as the basis for a history of Capel Curig parish, of which he had drafted the first few chapters before he died. Material includes typescript drafts of early chapters, notebooks, miscellaneous notes, extracts from printed sources and correspondence with fellow researchers and antiquaries.

Reverend Thomas David Jones, d. 1943, was curate at Caernarfonshire, firstly at parishes of Dwygyfylchi and Penmaenmawr from 1905 until 1921 and then vicar of Capel Curig parish from 1921 until 1943. He died in 1943.
