In consideration of #93 10s paid to William Parson of Gamlingay, yeoman, in full discharge of a mortgage on the property in question, together with a further sum of #22 15s, Christopher Parson of Gamlingay, yeoman, and Mary his wife release to John Bewes of Woodbury, Cambridgeshire, yeoman, 7+ dispersed acres of arable land in Gamlingay, currently in the tenure of Christopher Parson. Covenant to levy a fine (see Doc 3806, 3807). Reference to three estates created in these lands by Christopher for William Parson as a trustee, and which William is to assign to John Sampson of St George Hatley, Cambridgeshire, yeoman, in trust for Bewes to attend the freehold. No preceding lease survives in this collection. Indenture, signed and sealed by Christopher and Mary Parson, witnessed by John Pedley and J Symms Robinson; duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for consideration money, same date, signed by Christopher Parson, same witnesses.
