The 'Bring Back Pembrokeshire' Campaign (later the Campaign for Pembrokeshire) was established in about 1980 with the aim of re-establishing the county of Pembrokeshire, which had been absorbed into Dyfed in 1974. Pembrokeshire County Council unitary authority was created in 1996 as part of local government reorganisation, whereupon the Campaign for Pembrokeshire disbanded.
