Administrative / Biographical History
The Recusant Rolls were created by the Pipe Office to record proceedings against recusants (those who refused to conform to the rites and ceremonies of the Church of England).

The microfilms were given to the Library by the Abbot and Community of Donai Abbey, Woolhampton, Berkshire.
