Scope and Content

The collection consists of material concerning the family business of William Jones & Son and personal material belonging to William and Griffith Jones. It includes letters - some relating to local politics and religious affairs, letter books, diaries, memoranda books, invoices and other miscellaneous documents including receipts, plans and specifications, a price list and contract.

William Jones & Son, a timber merchants and shipbuilding enterprise at Abererch Road and Sand Street in the town of Pwllheli, Gwynedd, was the family business of William Jones fl.1822 and his son Griffith Jones fl.1851.
