Scope and Content

John Brodhoc of Wycham [Wickham Skeith, Suffolk?] confirms his gift to Nicholas le Gerardevile of Stok' and to Nicholas's wife Joan, their heirs and assigns, of land lying in the field called 'Clement', between the lands of Lord Ralph de Heme'hale and of Rose, widow of John Coleman, abutting to the east on lands of Walter de Hee and to the west on lands of the aforesaid Lord Ralph. At Wicham, deed poll, witnessed by William de Capelle, Salamon de Haldeham, Thomas le Brun, Philip Coleman, William le Granger, John le Granger, and others. Pendant tagged black round seal with device showing two figures in profile, hand in hand. Endorsed in seventeenth-century hand: 'A dede from John / Brodocke to Nycolas / Gerrarvile / 10./.'
