Scope and Content

The scrapbook is concerned principally with Dodd's uncle, Edward Dodd, and his work on Convocation. It includes a photograph of a portrait of the Revd John Dodd (b. 1762); reviews of J. Theodore Dodd, Convocation and Edward Dodd's share in its revival, 1932; letters, including drafts by Dodd on destitution.Dodd in preparation for this book, 1932; and a draft article by Edward The volume also contains pamphlets printed by Dodd's grandfather, the Revd Joseph Dodd, some in the form of poems and sermons, including discussion of the Poor Law, national education and diocesan training in Oxford. There is also a pamphlet by William Dodd, Plain thoughts on certain prevalent delusions of the day. Addressed to the working classes of the parish of Whickham, 1831; a pamphlet by J. Suggestions for amendment of consolidated orders and for improvement in poor law administration, London, 1913; and an edition of The magistrate, xix, November 1928. Dodd, Theodore
