This collection comprises an ms register of cases, ms letters of recommendation, printed midwifery certificates, photographs and newspaper cuttings, providing an insight into the training and subsequent career of Martha Florence Hill as a midwife in West Riding (1926-1970), together with official papers, including her and her husbands passports, birth, marriage and death certificates (1893-2003), revealing that she killed herself in 1977.
