Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The first Secretary of the Society was Herbert New, an Evesham solicitor. In 1848 a later signatory to the list of members was William Henry Herford (1820-1908) the educationalist who the same year married Elizabeth Anne Davis of Evesham who was also a member of the Society.
