John Maurice Davies: Transcript of Lewis Morris manuscript

A transcript made in 1850 by John Maurice Davies (c. 1805-1880), Antaron, Aberystwyth of NLW MS 603 or of another copy of that manuscript, which contains Lewis Morris's (1701-1765) account, 1744, of the lead and silver mines in the commote of Perfedd, Cardiganshire.

A comparison of the original manuscript and the transcript shows that they are not identical. The order in which the contents are arranged differs considerably in the two manuscripts and NLW MS 6684 contains some matter which is not in NLW MS 603 and vice versa.
