John Eggecombe (or Eggecomb) appears to
have been a prominent figure in Oxford
of the 1480s and 1490s. He was Mayor of
the City more than once, and appears in
several lists of jurors in P6/4L above.
He also appears before the courts
himself, either as a plaintiff or a
defendant (see P6/4L/19, 22, 26-27, 43
and 46). Other deeds mentioning him may
be found at P6/5L/2 and P6/13D/1.
