Administrative / Biographical History
Arthur Francis Bryan of Willoughby Waterleys is recorded as entering the Leicester Municipal Technical and Art School in 1899 at the age of 15. His occupation is recorded as ‘architect’, although this likely means he was articled to an architectural practice. Between 1899 and 1905 he studied architecture and building construction.

Acquisition Information
The provenance of the sketches is unclear. It is possible they are the 'series of pencil sketches' donated to the College in October 1936 by Frank Berridge Cooper's sister alongside his books of photographs (see D/032). The sketchbook was kept with the photograph albums.
