Administrative / Biographical History
Arthur Robinson was born in 1862. He studied at Edinburgh University. He started his career as Demonstrator of Anatomy at Edinburgh University, then at Owens College, Manchester. He then became a Lecturer in Anatomy at Victoria University, then at Middlesex Hospital. Prior to returning to Edinburgh University, Robinson was Professor of Anatomy at King's College, London, Hunterian Professor of Anatomy at the Royal College of Surgeons and Professor of Anatomy at Birmingham University. Latterly he was Professor Emeritus of Anatomy at Edinburgh University, 1909-1931. Professor Arthur Robinson died on 3 December 1948.
