Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Senta Hirtz trained in the Medau technique in the early 1930s in Berlin and emigrated to London as a refugee from Nazi Germany in 1936. She trained as a physiotherapist and then trained with the Jewish Relief. At the end of the Second World War she was in one of the early relief teams in the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen. She continued to live in London for the rest of her life.
