Archive of Recorded Church Music

Scope and Content

A substantial collection of recordings from traditional choirs singing in the English cathedral tradition. From the very first recording of an English choir in 1902, the collection contains 78rpm records, LPs, reel-to-reel & cassette tapes, Compact Discs, Videos & DVDs.

Private and one off recordings are a most important part of the Archive as these often represent the only recording of a particular choir.
