Administrative / Biographical History
Additions to the Sirhowy Tram Road, Monmouthshire, was proposed by John Jones, with improvements by civil engineer, John Hodgkinson in 1822. The road was intended to run between Sirhowy and Tredegar Iron Works to Dyffrin. Argoed Genot Farm, Bedwellty was located close to the tram road and included coal deposits which were mined during the 20th century.
