Collection of paintings, drawings and a lithograph, mainly of Cambridge. The identity of the artists other than Benson is not known. Clive Forster Cooper (b. 1880), featured in no. 6, was Director of the Museum of Zoology, Cambridge, 1914-1937, and was made Director of the British Museum in 1938.

Acquisition Information
Add.6340.1 belonged to Henry Bradshaw; nos 2-4 belonged to J.A. Harwood of Windlesham, Surrey; no. 5 belonged to H.M. Queen Alexandra. No. 1 was received with the Bradshaw Collection, 1886; nos 2 and 3 were bought, 1922; no. 4 was presented by J.A. Harwood; no. 5 was deposited by T. Jesson, 1922; nos 6 and 7 were presented in 1924, source unknown; the small unnumbered drawing was presented by Sedley Taylor, 1920.
