Scope and Content

Muhammad Hafiz, with the Turkish commentary of Sudi. Black leather binding with a central panel in red leather, tooled and with gilt decoration. The ends of the textblock are decorated with floral designs. The opening page is illuminated. The date 1127 AH (1715 AD) is pencilled onto the flyleaf, which would accord with the character of the decoration, which is typical of Ottoman art of this period.
