Scope and Content

A ledger which refers to the work and wages of a small group of workmen, including a game keeper and gardener. Planting trees, trimming hedges and wiring fences, form the staple form of work. Also, there are accounts for February 1931 of haulage contractors from Betws-y-coed, as if the manuscript had been found and appropriated for their own use.

Administrative / Biographical History

It is not at all clear what particular estate is meant by Llanddoged Estate, unless it is part of the lands of Hafodunos Hall in Denbighshire.

Llanddoged parish is located next to the town of Llanrwst, Denbighshire.
