Administrative / Biographical History

John Wendell Holmes was a Canadian diplomat and academic. He worked for the Canadian Department of External Affairs in London, Moscow and New York, and was subsequently Professor of International Relations at the University of Toronto from 1967 to 1988, holding visiting chairs at York, 1971-1981, and Leeds, 1979 and 1985.
